Olympic qualifying failure! Again?!? How? Why? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? Andrew, Doyle and David spar over the fact that the US U-23s are, for the third straight time, fell short in a bid to compete for a medal and represent the United States in Tokyo. Thankfully, the USWNT will pick up the slack. Once the yelling is done and emotions settle, it’s time for four more season previews. What will CF Montreal be without Thierry Henry? Can the Revs win MLS Cup? Are FC Dallas for real … or still just a little short? Is another Shield enough for Carlos Vela and LAFC?

The 2021 MLS schedule is out! The guys are hyped, but there is also substance. We know the size of the playoff field, and we know most games occur between conference foes. Andrew explains why that’s not a forever thing and why it also means every single game matters more than ever before. Meanwhile, Dave is jacked for Heineken Rivalry Week, and Doyle says making MLS more easily accessible is a huge win for the game and the league.

Then it’s on to season previews! Are Inter Miami title contenders or will David Beckham and Co. have to be patient? Is there another gear to Nashville SC? Do the Whitecaps have enough to get into the playoffs? Are the Rapids ready to take the next step? Finally, we name our top five No. 10s in MLS!

Who is the best No. 9 in MLS? Josef? Gyasi? Ruidiaz? Chicharito? Pulido? Other? Calen Carr gives his Top 5 (1:12:17) after the guys dig through Concacaf Olympic qualifying and four more 2021 season previews. First up, Minnesota United, who are a Top 3 team in the West according to Doyle and have Bebelo Reynoso to thank for it. Meanwhile, Wiebe is rooting for the Fire to ditch the Keystone Cops routine, the Red Bulls are going all-in on the press but the year isn’t 2016 or 2018 and Chicharito definitely isn’t the most interesting thing about the Galaxy. That’d be 18-year-old playmaker Efra Alvarez, currently in a tug of war between the US and Mexico.
